Welcome to Ledbeater Services. We are a proudly local, family-run business rooted deeply in the community we call home.
We are based at Blackbird Hill Farm at the southern edge of Northamptonshire close to the borders of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire.
OUr Mission
Leadbeater Services was founded in 2008 by Mark & Clancy with a clear aim:
To bring quality & consistency to buying firewood, so our customers can always rely on the dryness and quality of our logs, our loads sizes are consistent and clearly defined our customer service always friendly & approachable.
But our story starts nearly a hundred years earlier……
Our Story....
The story of Leadbeater Services began over a century ago in 1925, when George Amos Leadbeater—local butcher and landlord of The Crown Inn in Weston—purchased Blackbird Hill Farm in Eydon for his son Frank and daughter-in-law Annie.
Across five generations, our family has proudly worked this 60-acre land. Passed down through grandfathers and fathers, Blackbird Hill Farm is run today by us, Mark and Clancy Leadbeater.
While our modest farm once provided a living for four full-time men, changing times required modern thinking. In 2008, we adapted to secure our farm’s future by expanding into premium firewood production—and we haven’t looked back since.
Today, alongside tending our flock of 200 sheep, our primary passion is producing and delivering high-quality, sustainably sourced firewood logs to our local community. We are honored to serve the surrounding villages and towns in the area our family has called home for generations.
